Ghana international Thomas Partey spoke about his desire to improve his goal-scoring after finding the back of the net during Arsenals 1-1 draw against Brentford in the English Premier League on Saturday. The Black Stars’ midfield enforcer started the game for the Gunners and earned a point for the team with his 4th goal of the 2024/25 football season.Speaking in a post-match interview, Thomas Partey, shared his delight, insisting that the equaliser spurs him on to improve his game.”Its something that we’ve been doing for a while now. I’m lucky to be at that position at that time. But normally we have a lot of quick players who are always on the counter. I think it’s just something that we always do.”Sometimes it’s the best part of the game to score. And I’m really happy to have a goal. Every player on the pitch wants to score from the back. It’s a great one for me personally to keep improving,” Thomas Partey said.Meanwhile, the Ghana midfielder is a doubt for Arsenals second leg meeting with Real Madrid in the quarter-final of the UEFA Champions League. He will be assessed in the coming days to ascertain whether he will be able to play in the game on Wednesday, April 16.
